One time Hellogoodbye played a secret show at the 1619 House.  Our Fair City and Boy With Robot played outside (BWR was sans Kerry because she had gotten hit by a car); Romance Is Born, Makeout Party (their singer looks like Fred Savage) and Hellogoodbye played inside.  Some doofus brought a bunch of pool noodles… :)

Driving South

HI!

Tomorrow at approximately 7AM, we are driving back to my friend Jesse’s recording studio in Boca Raton, Florida. Over the past few months, with the help of my friend Dustin Isbert, I have been recording more songs in my basement. I’m way into these batch songs much more than the others from last summer. We are going to be staying at my grandmothers luxurious condo with a pool and 80’s style furniture. I’m pumped. I’m hoping to document everything: a bit more organized and more frequent than last time. I packed the FlipCam and Dustin has a fancy Macintosh computer that is way more compatible then my crappy laptop. Crossing my fingers for no power-outages. Here goes nothin!

I made a Spotify playlist:

PROGRESS!

JDR. North Bowl. September 2011.

I listened to the songs in full this week for the first time since mid-summer, as I decided to sit on them for a while before rushing back down to finish the recording. I’m excited. There is a song about a scary coat rack, Malcom Gladwell and Tarrytown, New York. Jesse and Tim are tracking from Florida this week. Vocals on deck. Eek! We will finish this record someday! PATIENCE!

Currently Listening: Land of Talk - Some Are Lakes LP

Ages “Made In The Trade”
- Highly recommended for fans of Avett Brothers, Old 97’s, and other stuff I can’t really think of. It’s really good! The album is available for a name-your-price download. Also, the band includes Dave Downham and Dave Dunn from Up Up Down Down.
